Humanitarian action
MONX directs half of profit generated through products and memberships to direct humanitarian action.
The remaining half builds the structure required to sustain that work and develop MONX’s wider scientific, technical and humanitarian capacity.
For special causes we try to support, individual products can be arranged differently. For example, all profit from the Palestine Solidarity Beanie after costs goes to direct aid in Gaza.
Direct humanitarian action / 50%
25% supports children in India through food distribution and direct practical support.
25% supports Icelandic patients who need access to the patient center, including practical costs and the technical or scientific research work required around their cases.
The meal number shown beside each product or membership represents the direct food support assigned to that purchase.
Funds assigned to direct humanitarian action are used for the aid itself, without intermediary profit layers. Operational costs are covered through system building.
System building / 50%
The other half builds the structure that allows the work to continue, including:
production and fair compensation;
product and software development;
operations, logistics and partnerships;
scientific and technical work;
the current mission and future development.
This part allows MONX to build its own capacity rather than depend entirely on outside funding.
One action, two results
Every purchase provides direct help now while building the products, knowledge and operating capacity that can continue creating practical value over time.
