MONX is preparing to establish a long term operational base in India.


The purpose is to create a stable environment in which the originating medical case, independent technical and scientific work, product development and MONX’s humanitarian operations can continue under one practical structure.


Product development will create sustainable sources of income so the work is not dependent on supporter contributions alone.

Why this mission exists

MONX began during the attempt to solve the severe structural injury of its founder, which began in 2016.


The case involves several connected injuries, unusual anatomy, instability and continuing physical deterioration. It crosses several medical specialities, so the injuries must be understood and treated together.


Relevant treatment methods exist, but they must be selected, adapted, coordinated and carried out with extreme precision.


Diagnostic findings and numerous letters from specialists abroad have confirmed the seriousness of the injury.

Despite years of attempts to obtain appropriate treatment, the healthcare and public funding systems in his home country have failed to provide an adequate treatment path, nursing, practical assistance or everyday support proportionate to the severity of the condition.


Both the case and the wider work require a stable patient environment, sustained medical coordination, technical talent and a workplace from which the work can be directed over time.

What is a patient environment?

In this case, demanding medical and technical work cannot continue without reliable daily support.


A patient environment is the physical and practical structure required to keep the founder medically stable enough to continue the work.


It includes:


accessible long term accommodation;


reliable food and nutritional support;


medication and medical continuity;


recovery, sleep and rehabilitation structure;


daily practical nursing and assistance;


transport and appointment coordination;


storage and organization of medical and technical materials.

What is a working cell?

The working cell is a small medical, engineering and coordination unit built to develop a treatment route for the case.


It includes:


medical records and imaging consolidation;


three dimensional anatomical reconstruction and supporting software work;


mapping of the injuries, instability and mechanical forces involved;


biomechanical modelling and simulation to estimate how proposed corrections may affect the body;


engineering and treatment design;


research coordination;


communication with surgeons, hospitals and technical specialists;


preparation of clear material for engineering review and surgical planning.

Why India?

India, and particularly Bengaluru, offers the combination needed for this stage:

extensive medical infrastructure, engineering and software talent, high quality imaging and testing, manufacturing connections, practical operating costs and local support.


It also allows MONX to build a focused cooperation network at a pace and cost that would be difficult elsewhere, while creating the medical and technical capacity needed for both the immediate case and MONX’s future work.


MONX will also continue direct humanitarian work locally, including food distribution and practical support carried out with dignity and transparent reporting.

Initial milestones

1. Establish the base


Secure accessible long term accommodation, practical assistance, food, medication continuity and the basic recovery environment.


2. Establish the working cell


Build the local technical and organizational structure required for sustained medical and engineering work.


3. Consolidate the case


Organize imaging, medical records, measurements, surgical findings and biomechanical questions into one usable technical package.


4. Build the digital model


Develop the anatomical reconstruction, map the injuries and instability and begin the initial biomechanical simulations.


5. Develop the treatment solution


Use the medical findings, digital model and engineering work to adapt relevant treatment methods to the specific anatomy and mechanics of the case.


6. Begin specialist review


Present the work to appropriate surgeons, engineers and medical specialists and refine the treatment and development route.


7. Continue product development


Develop MONX products, software and other sustainable sources of income that can finance the wider work beyond supporter contributions and contribute practical value to society.


8. Continue humanitarian action


Continue food distribution and direct practical aid alongside the scientific and technical work.

First supporter goal

Our first goal is to build a base of 500 supporters through MONX membership packages.


This would create the continuity needed to establish the India base, begin the working cell, continue humanitarian work and launch MONX product lines that can generate independent income for the future of the project.


Each supporter helps create the foundation from which MONX can operate, grow and become increasingly self sustaining.

Reporting

MONX supporters will receive a monthly operational report covering:


funds received and major spending categories;


completed milestones;


current medical and technical work;


development of the treatment solution;


product development and sustainable income;


humanitarian activity;


problems encountered;


the next operational objectives.


The project will report progress honestly, including delays and failed approaches, not only positive outcomes.
